Kilian - Liaisons Dangereuses Fragrance

Back in 2007 the Fashion House of Hennessy Killian has kaunced a “typical me” fragrance for men, Liaisons Dangereuses. Its naming originates from the title of a famous novel written by a French writer Choderlos de Laclo, “Les liaisons dangereuses” which means “dangerous affairs.”
In the novel we find an elaborate interweaving of intrigues, passion, adventures and love affair. And so is the fragrance. It embodies love and as if gives the lovers a place where they could hide from strangers and reveal their feelings.
The composition of the Liaisons Dangereuses opens with magnificent fruit accord, sensual and charming. It reminds us about the moment two lovers meet each other: a touch of embarrassment and innocent modesty on the one hand, and curiosity on the other hand. There we find the notes of coconut, prunes, black currants, peach and Damask plum.
The tension grows with the rose and geranium notes which stand for coquetry, game and sexual attraction. Rose symbolizes love while geranium means a wish to be happy, so this combination is not accidental, but convey deep feelings.
At the heart there are woody notes of sandalwood, vetiver and oak moss. They signal the moment to make a declaration of love. There’s no place for doubt and silence but instead happiness and tenderness should enter your heart.
And the climax comes in the form of ambergris notes of vanilla and musk at the base. They are warm, astringent and bright; they are no more as refined as they were at the beginning. It is passion, outburst of emotions, firework of feelings, and triumph of love.
