There is a great amount of women, for which a perfume is not only a pleasant accessories with fashionable aroma. Having chosen their scent once and forever, they turn it into a part of their image and style. However, if some major changes appear in your life, your style changes as well.
Suppose, you are standing at the door of a perfume shop and you seek to choose something new, unusual, an aroma, which is absolutely different from what you had been using before. So, in the is case you should better follow the advice, that the scientists of the University of California give. First of all you should not be in a hurry. First smell the scent with your right nostril, than, when some minutes have passed, do not forget to smell it with your left nostril. It may well occur, that the scent you loved at first will not satisfy you after the first smell, the question is – why?
After a long period of research scientists have come to a conclusion: scents, that come through the right nostril, seem much more pleasant for us, than those, that we perceive through the left one. It seems to be explained by the fact, that each nostril then passes the information got through it to its own part of our brain. The right part of our brain is responsible for emotions, and it is not prone to detailing information. The left one, on the contrary, is in charge of specifying scents, that is why it is so particular about them. So, it appears, that we like or detest an aroma in accordance to the nostril we perceive it with. What we do not like today may become adorable tomorrow – and vice versa.
