L’Artisan Parfumeur - New Havana Vanille 2009 Fragrance
The perfumer house L’Artisan Parfumeur is going to launch a new autumn fragrance. Its creator - Bertrand Duchaufour – was inspired by the city of Havana and vanilla aroma. Thus that fragrance is called Havana Vanille 2009.
The fragrance is characterized as a constantly changing one, with lots of shades and chords. It is exotic, slightly alcoholic due to rum notes and - addictive. Sensually elegant, it can be easily associated with overseas voyages, which ending point is Cuba with its barrels of rum, mysterious woody smells and energetic music rhythms. It gives the feeling of luxury and also mysterious harmony with yourself and with the whole world.

Havana Vanille opens with vanilla pod notes drowned in rum and clove and dried fruit including mandarin, the sweetest of all fruit notes. The heart notes are represented by a unity of narcissus flower and tonka bean with a scent of tobacco leaves, sweet and deep.
The base notes present a creamy mixture of viscid balms, Benzoin and Tolu, woodsy and musky notes, and vanilla absolute. Slightly chocolaty tonka bean is also included to combine with vanilla and tobacco to create a gorgeous aroma.
As you see, the two types of vanilla were used in the fragrance. They enhance the other components’ aroma: the Mexican vanilla absolute adds its spicy facets to the deep tobacco leaf and clove notes, and the Bourbon-Madagascar vanilla enhances the dried fruit.
